Nike: We Move

Branded Content, Spotlighting black ballet dancer Isabela Coracy.

CASE STUDY

PROBLEM

Nike needed a social-first film that felt honest. The brief was to spotlight Isabela Coracy, a Black ballet dancer, as part of its collaboration with Ballet Black and tell a story about identity, heritage and perseverance. The film had to speak to the next generation on TikTok and Instagram, feel cinematic yet intimate, be culturally sensitive, and turn around quickly.

SOLUTION

We kept the creative anchored in authenticity to Isabela and to Nike. From the outset, we prioritised a space where collaborators feel seen, heard and comfortable. We chose to mirror Isabela’s two worlds, blending elements of ballet with hip hop across London’s urban backdrops to gently subvert where a ballerina is “supposed” to be seen.

Styling and HMU were on brand and rooted in her life as a working dancer, with comfort front and centre. Isabela’s natural hair was a statement choice, giving it a platform and allowing her to show up fully while representing Black women proudly. To ground the narrative, we wove in images from her childhood and teens, connecting the early spark to the artist and teacher she is today. The result is a social-native portrait that feels intimate, current and true.
